1985
We started as a manufacturer’s representative for electrical and mechanical power transmission equipment. Early on, we expanded into the evolving field of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), establishing a reputation for expert sales, support, and repair in a four-state Midwest territory.
1992
We partnered with Saftronics and soon became their top-performing territory.
2005
After Saftronics was acquired in 2005, we shifted to Mitsubishi, becoming an Inverter Elite Distributor.
2007
We recognized a growing demand for custom control panels. We began designing and building specialized panel solutions focused heavily on VFD applications. This has evolved into a core part of our business, with thousands of Electro Power panels operating across the country and around the world.
2018
Expanded operations to Florida after securing a contract with Disney. This client relationship became the start of our operations in the state, enabling us to expand as we began searching for other opportunities in the area.
2022
Electro Power officially transitions to an employee-owned model. By launching an ESOP, the company rejects corporate acquisition, protects its culture, and begins rewarding its team with direct equity at no personal cost.
2023
Became a Manufacturer's Representative for Motor Specialty Inc. (MSI), an electric motor manufacturer established in 1947.
2024
Founder Jeff Starck begins phased retirement. After guiding the company into employee ownership, Starck passes the torch to Andy LaPointe and Mike Jeske to lead Electro Power into its next chapter.
2026
Electro Power is a UL 508A panel shop, distributor, and manufacturer’s representative. We support applications ranging from pumping and fans to elevators and conveyors. We offer sales expertise, engineering services, panel design, 24/7 technical support, and VFD repairs.
